A portfolio tracker that measures what your money actually earned
Most portfolio views show the balance or the fund's own return. Eudos keeps a ledger of the money moving into and out of your investments and measures IRR per holding and per portfolio. The answer is what your money actually earned, not how much the balance moved.
Updated
Why isn't the balance change your return?
An illustrative example (from the essay on what your money actually returned, not a member's or a fund's actual results): +125% in the balance, 16.9% money-weighted, with the fund at 0%.
Time-weighted or money-weighted?
Both are explained in the Academy; Eudos shows the money-weighted return on your own flows.
What does it hold?
Stocks, funds and options synced from brokerages; crypto; private stock and LLC interests with cost basis.
Questions
What is IRR?
The annual rate that ties every dated deposit and withdrawal to today's value.
Does it match Excel's XIRR?
The free Eudos XIRR calculator does: it uses Excel's convention, days ÷ 365. IRR in the app counts a year as 365.25 days, so it can differ slightly from a spreadsheet's XIRR on the same flows.
Does it recommend investments?
No.
